"Taras Hryhorovych Shevchenko (Ukrainian: Тара́с Григо́рович Шевче́нко, Taras Hryhorovych Shevchenko) (March 9 [O.S. February 25] 1814 – March 10 [O.S. February 26] 1861) was a Ukrainian poet and artist. He is also known under the name Kobzar after his most famous literary work, a collection of poems entitled Kobzar. His literary heritage is regarded to be the foundation of modern Ukrainian literature and, to a large extent, the modern Ukrainian language. Shevchenko also wrote in Russian and is remembered for many masterpieces as a painter and an illustrator."-Wikipedia
-Wikipedia

I like those stamps. Lovely! ^_^

Stamp
This stamp is one of the emperors' grave in Qing dynasty, Xiaoling, issued in 2007.
The Shunzhi Emperor, the third emperor of the Qing dynasty. His tomb is part of the Xiaoling (孝陵) mausoleum complex (known in Manchu as the Hiyoošungga Munggan), which was the first mausoleum to be erected on that site. The tomb was constructed from 1661 to 1664.
I have to say the history is really hard to explain in English, especially the complicated names of people. (>_<)  If you want to know the details about Qing dynasty, please search the Internet. :p
(Arrival @ 26 November 2012)
